Officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary/Director level from All India Services or any Organized Services of the Government of India, eligible for appointment at DS/Director level under the Central Staffing Scheme.

- The ‘Cooling off’ period, after a previous stint on deputation, if any, must be completed and the officer must be eligible for appointment on Central Deputation as per extant instructions.
