Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission along with admissible Central Government allowances.

Educational Qualification
Tax Assistant
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification. In addition, candidates should have a Data Entry Speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour.

Sports Eligibility
This recruitment is exclusively meant for meritorious sportspersons. Candidates should have represented India, a State, a University or a recognized educational institution in eligible sports competitions.

Preference in selection will be given according to the sports achievements prescribed by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
The highest priority will be given to candidates who have represented India in International Competitions. Candidates who have won medals in National Championships, Inter-University competitions and Khelo India events will also receive preference during preparation of the merit list.
Sports achievements obtained up to 31 March 2026 will only be considered for recruitment.

Selection Process
The selection process varies depending on the post applied for.
Tax Assistant & Stenographer Grade-II
Selection will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: Sports Achievement Evaluation
- Applications will be scrutinized based on sports achievements, certificates and eligibility conditions. Candidates will be shortlisted according to the merit of their sports performance.
- For Tax Assistant, candidates up to four times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the next stage.
- For Stenographer Grade-II, only 10 candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test stage.
Stage 2: Skill Test
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for the post-specific skill test at Bhubaneswar at their own expense.
- For Tax Assistant, Data Entry Speed requirements must be satisfied.
- For Stenographer Grade-II, candidates must qualify the prescribed dictation and transcription test.
- Final merit will be prepared based on sports achievements and performance in the prescribed skill tests.
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
For MTS posts, selection will be made directly on the basis of sports achievements and merit. No separate skill test has been prescribed for MTS candidates.
Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted for appointment will be required to produce original documents for verification before final selection.
