Salary & Pay Scale – Government Field Operation Engineer (FOE) & Project Engineer-I Recruitment 2026
- Pay Scale: Field Operation Engineer (FOE): Rs.60,000/- per month for the 1st Year of engagement. Project Engineer-I: Rs.40,000/- per month for the 1st Year of engagement. An increase of Rs.5000/- for every year of extension of contract for both posts.
- Allowances: Consolidated amount of Rs 12,000/- per year towards insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc.
Selection Process – Government Field Operation Engineer (FOE) & Project Engineer-I Recruitment 2026
- Stage 1: Written Test

Exam Pattern
Selection will be through a Written Test followed by an Interview. 85% Marks will be allotted for the Written Test and 15% Marks for the Interview. Candidates who pass the Written Test will be called for Interview in the ratio of 1:5 in order of merit in each role in each category. Minimum qualifying marks: 35% for General/OBC/EWS candidates, 30% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates in both written test and interview separately.

- Selected candidates are required to obtain a Medical Insurance cover for Rs. 2 lakhs per annum and Life Cover Insurance for Rs. 5 lakhs per annum, to be submitted at the time of joining.
- Trainee Engineers/Project Engineers currently working in BEL must provide prior intimation to their respective HR department and upload a copy of the ‘Intimation Letter’ while applying.
- Lateral application for the same post is not permitted.
