UPSSSC AGTA Mains Exam Pattern 2026

The mains written examination will consist of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions carrying 100 marks to be completed in 2 hours (120 minutes). There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks (1/4th) for every wrong answer.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university, such as:

• B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture
• B.Sc. Horticulture / B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture
• B.Sc. Forestry / B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry
• B.Tech Agricultural Engineering
• 4-year degree in Home Science / Community Science

Age Limit (as on 01/07/2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 40 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD categories as per UP Government norms.

Mandatory Requirement

• Candidates must have a valid UPSSSC PET 2025 scorecard.
• Only PET 2025 qualified candidates were shortlisted for the mains examination.

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Level-4 as per the 7th Pay Commission:

• Pay Matrix: Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100
• Grade Pay: Rs. 2,400/-
• Old Pay Scale: Rs. 5,200 – 20,200/-
