Educational Qualification

For Teaching Faculty (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor): You must hold qualifications as per the latest National Medical Commission (NMC) minimum standards. The reference notification is Gazette Notification No. CG-DL-E-05072025-264399 dated 05 July 2025. In simple words, you need MD, MS, DNB, or equivalent postgraduate degrees in the relevant specialty with the required teaching experience as per NMC rules.

For Senior Residents: You must have completed your MD, MS, DNB, or Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognized institution. Your medical registration must be active and updated.

For Medical Officers: You must have a recognized MBBS degree included in the First, Second, or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. You must also have completed your compulsory rotating internship. Active registration with NMC or State Medical Council is mandatory.

Medical Registration Rule: All candidates must carry an updated Medical Registration Certificate (NMC or State Medical Council) for every post-MBBS qualification they hold. If your registration is under renewal, carry proof that you have applied for it. Without this, you may be stopped at the document verification stage.

Selection Process

The selection is straightforward and transparent:

1. Document Verification: Your original and photocopied documents are checked by a committee before the interview.
2. Personal Interview: A duly constituted selection board will judge you based on your academic record, experience, research work, and interview performance.
3. Result: The final result will be published only in the Recruitment section of www.esic.gov.in.
4. Offer Letter: Selected candidates will receive the offer via email. You must join as per the instructions given in the email.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Terms of Contract

Please understand the job rules before you join:

• The first contract is for one year. It can be extended for two more years based on your annual performance and institutional need.
• For faculty, the job ends automatically when a regular faculty joins the same post or when you turn 70 years, whichever is earlier.
• For SR and MO, the job ends when a regular incumbent joins or when you turn 50 years (for SR), whichever is earlier.
• You cannot do private practice in any form after joining.
• You must mark attendance manually and through AEBAS (Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System) daily.
• Absence for more than 7 days without approval is treated as voluntary abandonment, and your contract will be terminated automatically.
• You will not get PF, Pension, Gratuity, or Promotion benefits as this is a pure contract role.
• Hostel or quarter facility may be given if available, but it is not a right. If you take accommodation, HRA will not be paid.
